The guardians of sixth-graders have received a Wilma message with instructions on how to register for seventh grade and the admission practices.

Sixth-graders in basic education in Jyväskylä will register for seventh grade 16.-30.1.2024 in the Wilma system.

The local school of a person starting the 7th grade of basic education is determined by the pupil's home address. The school place is also affected by the A2 language started in the fourth grade and studying in a music or English/Swedish class.

Pupils in schools of classes 1-9 or 5-9 continue their studies in the 7th grade, usually in their own comprehensive school. The pupils selected for the music class at Kypärämäki School will transfer to the 7th grade at Kilpinen comprehensive school and the pupils of English education at Kortepohja school to Viitaniemi school. At Kuokkala svenska skola, teaching is provided in grades 1–9. All 6th grade students also have the opportunity to apply to Jyväskylä Teacher Training School, Steiner School and Christian School.

Information about the student selection of upper secondary schools will be sent by Wilma message on 11.3.2024.
