Jyväskylä Sinfonia has extended the contract of its Italian Chief Conductor, Lorenzo Passerini, through July 2029. The orchestra will also deepen its collaboration with the award-winning Italian composer Andrea Portera, whose works will receive their premieres by the orchestra in the coming years.

The Association of Finnish Symphony Orchestras is conducting a nationwide audience survey to assess audience satisfaction, concertgoers' experiences, and their wishes for the future regarding Finnish orchestras.

Jyväskylä Sinfonia's inaugural season at Paviljonki is designed to be diverse, inviting and artistically ambitious. The programme includes numerous premieres, major works by great composers and unforgettable visits by conductors and soloists. To celebrate the new era, the orchestra's visual identity has also been redesigned down to the last detail. Many things are new, but the most important thing, the high quality of Jyväskylä Sinfonia’s music, remains strongly unchanged.
