The city libraries close their doors temporarily

The city libraries are closed as a measure to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The closure lasts until 13.4.

The closure also includes self-service libraries, library busses and self-service returns.

Jyväskylä Sinfonia

Jyväskylä Sinfonia is a classical music gem in Central Finland, whose heart beats in Jyväskylä and plays throughout the region.  The orchestra's nearly 120 events reach more than 35 000 listeners every year, from symphony concerts to genre-bending special productions and music events for all ages. From autumn 2024, the orchestra's chief conductor will be Italian maestro Lorenzo Passerini. Meta4 string quartet continues playing the role of the principal guest.
