Jyväskylä will send information on the coronavirus to those who have recently moved to the city

Jyväskylä has been providing information on the coronavirus, on how to protect oneself from the virus, on what to do if one is quarantined or suspects he or she has caught the virus in various languages. The City will now make a special effort to approach those who have moved to the city recently and tell them about the virus.

Those who have recently moved to Jyväskylä will receive a text message and a letter from the City, both written in their own languages.

The City of Jyväskylä will call all its over 70 residents to make sure they are coping during the corona quarantine

The City of Jyväskylä will start calling all its over 70 residents who are not using any of the services of the City. The purpose is to make sure that the elderly are coping during the corona quarantine.

The task is huge since there are nearly 18,000 over-70-year-olds in Jyväskylä and only a good 2,000 of them are using the City’s services.

Updated on 8 APRIL: The symptoms of the coronavirus (COVID-19) include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Most of those catching the virus have a normal respiratory inflection, or a cold. If you do not have severe symptoms, stay at home and rest.

It is important to prevent the virus from spreading to other people for whom the virus may be dangerous. The virus may be dangerous for old people in particular and for those with other lung and heart diseases.



What should I do if I get ill? 

If you have normal cold symptoms, such as cough or fever, stay at home and rest.
