Singing, large-scale masterpieces, and star guest artists highlight Jyväskylä Sinfonia's autumn season

The overarching theme of the season is song in its many forms. During the autumn, audiences can enjoy performances by Club For Five and Pauli Hanhiniemi, as well as Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem, returning to Jyväskylä for the first time in more than 30 years. In November, the audience will also be invited to join in a community sing-along led by the city's children's choirs. The season concludes with the traditional Christmas Concert and a performance of The Most Beautiful Christmas Carols at Taulumäki Church.

Season highlights include the return of Conductor Laureate Patrick Gallois to Jyväskylä as the soloist in the Opening Concert, Pictures at an Exhibition conducted by internationally renowned conductor Karen Kamensek in collaboration with the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra, and Chief Conductor Lorenzo Passerini's continuation of the orchestra's complete cycle of Johannes Brahms' symphonies. Other highlights include Red Nose Company's lively The Musical History of Finland, concerts featuring Jyväskylä Sinfonia's own principal musicians – Principal Cello Ilkka Kauppi and Principal Viola Grigory Tsyganov – as well as performances in village halls across Central Finland and the orchestra's popular coffee concerts, bringing live music to communities throughout the region.

Season Tickets and Concert Packages

Jyväskylä Sinfonia offers a variety of ticket packages, making it easy for every concertgoer to find an option that suits their interests.

Those wishing to attend every symphony concert can choose the Tutti Season Ticket, which includes all eight autumn symphony concerts with a reserved seat throughout the season. Tutti season ticket holders also enjoy a range of additional benefits on concert evenings and special offers from partner organisations, including restaurants, hotels and museums in Jyväskylä.

The Trio Series Ticket allows audiences to select any three symphony concerts of their choice. Once all three concerts have been attended, a new Trio Series Ticket can be purchased later in the season. Trio Series Tickets are available from the Jyväskylä-piste ticket office.

The Quartet Series Ticket includes four concerts combining symphony and entertainment programmes, offering approximately one concert per month. The autumn Quartet Series Ticket includes:
