Finding the right education for job seekers becomes easier
At the events, you can get support to find your route
In Central Finland, Jyväskylä, Laukaa, Muurame, Äänekoski, Jämsä, Keuruu, and Saarijärvi are part of the nationwide municipal experiment of employment. In municipal trials, unemployed job seekers whose job search has been prolonged for various reasons are especially supported.
– For example, short-term studies can have significant effects on finding a suitable job. It is also important to recognize the skills learned in everyday life and how they have increased one's own competence. In every encounter, we intend to create faith in the job seekers to find their own route, says Emma Saaranen, education coordinator of City of Jyväskylä's employment services.
The next Kohti education event is for immigrant job seekers on 22 February. For Finnish-speaking job seekers over 30 years old, a similar event will be organized on 8 March.
– Especially among adult jobseekers, information about paid apprenticeships and versatile workforce and recruitment training should be increased. There are many options for studying, and there are solutions for different life situations for everyone who needs to develop or update their own skills, states Vilja Paavola, stakeholder expert of Central Finland's TE services.
You can find more information about future events here: Events (osaajaks.fi). All those who are interested in education options can participate in the events.
Kohti education events are organized in collaboration with the OsaajaKS service chain, Central Finland's TE services, the employment services of the city of Jyväskylä, and educational institutions in the Central Finland region.
