Jyväskylä has been providing information on the coronavirus, on how to protect oneself from the virus, on what to do if one is quarantined or suspects he or she has caught the virus in various languages. The City will now make a special effort to approach those who have moved to the city recently and tell them about the virus.

Those who have recently moved to Jyväskylä will receive a text message and a letter from the City, both written in their own languages. 

Information on the coronavirus and on quarantine is already available in English, Russian, Arabic, Swahili, Persian, Sorani, Somali, Thai, Kinyarwanda and Turkish. The same information will be translated into other languages if needed. 

The same information is also available as videos. Videos are currently available in Russian, Thai, Arabic and Persian. Videos are also being produced in other languages. All these materials and links e.g., to the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and the coronavirus instructions they are providing in several languages and to the Finnish Centre for Easy Language and their coronavirus instructions in easy Finnish can be found at Information on the coronavirus provided by the City of Jyväskylä.
