Concertmaster


Audition: Saturday 27th of May at 1 pm local time. The audition continues on Sunday 28th of May at 10 am local time.
Audition takes place at the rehearsing hall of Jyväskylä Sinfonia, Puistokatu 2 A (Shopping center Kolmikulma in the centre of Jyväskylä), A stair, 5. floor.

Audition program:
1.    W. A. Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3 G or No. 4 D or No. 5 A, 1. and 2. parts with cadenzas
2.    Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius or Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto, I part with cadenzas 


Link to the orchestra and chamber music excerpts will be send via e-mail to all applicants after the application period. Accompanist is available at the audition. Audition contains an interview and possibility to suitability test. The audition will be performed with the instrument used for concertmaster’s task.

Terms of the employment are determined to the national collective bargain (KVTES). 

Concertmaster position will be fulfilled on 11.9.2023 or by agreement. The task follows a probation period.


We require the concertmaster to have
-    High artistic level
-    Good communication skills
-    Interest in developing the orchestra together with the artistic leaders, general manager and the whole orchestra

Co-Principal Flute

Obligation to play piccolo and alto flute.

Audition: Monday 22nd of May at 1 pm. The audition continues on Tuesday 23rd of May at 10 am. 

Audition takes place at the rehearsing hall of Jyväskylä Sinfonia, Puistokatu 2 A (Shopping center Kolmikulma in the centre of Jyväskylä), A stair, 5. floor.

Audition program:
1.    W. A. Mozart: Concerto G:
        I part with flute
        II part with piccolo
        (no cadenzas)

2.    H. Dutilleux: Sonatine

Jyväskylä Sinfonia is the pearl of classical music in the middle of Finland. Orchestra operates in Jyväskylä and visits the entire province.
