Open Positions

Jyväskylä Sinfonia is the pearl of classical music in the middle of Finland. Orchestra operates in Jyväskylä and visits the entire province. The orchestra reaches yearly over 40 000 listeners in our nearly 150 events from symphony concerts to cross-genre special productions and music events for audiences of all ages. Orchestra’s chief conductor is Italian maestro Lorenzo Passerini.

CO-PRINCIPAL FLUTE

There is an obligation to play piccolo and alto flute. In addition to playing in the large orchestra set up, the work program includes regular audience outreach in smaller ensembles.

Audition: Monday 1st of June 2026 at 12 pm.

The audition takes place in the Encore Hall of Jyväskylä Sinfonia, Lutakonaukio 12 (Paviljonki).

The audition may include a job interview, and we expect the applicant to have good interaction and teamwork skills.

Terms of employment are determined according to the national collective bargain (KVTES). The salary for the position is 3334,84 euros, in addition bonuses can be paid according to the KVTES.

The position will be filled starting 24.8.2026 or by agreement. There is a probation period in the position.
